I am a teacher who went to college for many years. I try to encourage kids to do a great job every day. After all of this education and teaching, I think I can make a difference in another arena. I feel that I am a good public speaker, I have a well-rounded education, I am willing to put in long hours to get the job done. I just want our community to be better, safer, and not in debt.
My husband and I have been married for 19 years. It has been a wonderful marriage because we both have shared in the giving and the taking. It would not be honest to say that the marriage has not had some rough times, but the good times outnumber the bad. I had a life-scare two years ago and he never left my side. I appreciate him and all he does for me. He makes my oatmeal and coffee every morning. What more could a girl ask for? August 31, 2011 is the goal date.
I went to Italy with my son last year as a chaperone on his senior trip. I had a wonderful time, but I missed sharing this experience with my husband. I would like to have the four of us go as a family. I feel that time is running out and the kids will not want to have any more family vacations before too long.
