Why do you want to do this?
I love running but occasionally lose motivation. Training for a race keeps me motivated, I run more regularly and my conditioning improves when preparing for races. I regularly run 5 & 10K races and two years ago I ran my fist and only half-marathon. It was a huge rush to leave the gate with around 20,000 runners! I had a great race, however the last 4K was not a lot of fun.
What three things will you need to make this happen?
Need to focus on my form. I injured myself in my previous half-marathon and it was likely a result of running with bad form.
Need a training program, maybe a training buddy.
Need to register for the race. . . That's the easy part. :)
What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?
Finding a training strategy that focuses on proper form.
As you progress with your goal, share the resources you find helpful with others who can also benefit from them.
