Actually, I'm just about to do it. I found a website, picked someone out and am about to follow through with it. Heck, I may write more than one if it goes well.

Although I'm writing a man this time, I plan on also writing a female prisoner. I read that they receive far less communication compared to imprisoned men. It's also said that women are far more likely to be cut off from their families once they are incarcerated. Sad, don't you think?

Very interesting statistics, and yes, it is sad.  I never thought of it before, and I don't think it is fair, but I do believe the fact that women are far more likely to be cut off from their families.  It's very admirable that you are doing this.  A lot of people would not even consider it and have the mentality that these people are in there for a reason so who cares if they have communication or not.   I would consider diong it, and I have done it once before a long time ago, but at this point, I know my fiance would not support it at all and it would cause problems.

Oh, and I would love to hear the story on the people that you write to.
