Be pregnant by Aug. 2011!
Relationships: Family

Why do you want to do this?

My husband is in Afghanistan, we were going to try before he left but decided to wait. He didn't want to miss anything. He will be back in a couple of months and we are ready to start trying again!

What three things will you need to make this happen?

Eating healthy

Praying

HIM!

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

What a wonderful time of anticipation! It's an exciting thing, to plan the arrival of a child. I wish you a quick turnaround when he gets home safely!

You wouldn't have wanted him to miss a minute of it, either ... who would bring you doughnuts and the other junk you'll crave? :)

LOL!! I know!! I told him that too!!

Thank you so much!

D, I was wondering if you'd researched any of the new pre-pregnancy diet books out there? I know there are a few, and some say if you load up on the right vitamins, etc., it makes conception and early pregnancy easier. Any ideas on this?

Hm. I have heard about taking the right vitamins. I need to get on that!! lol.

I ought to do some research on books. Thank you!

Try this one, D. You can get it on Amazon and it focuses on what you can do to get your body ready ahead of time. Though, you must know, there's really so little control over the whole process. Just enjoy the tips and thoughts of what might be while you wait for your husband to return. Hope it's soon!

Ahhh, I love this!   I am sure it will be absolutely wonderful when your husband returns and you can work on getting pregnant.  I am looking forward to hearing when you get pregnant!

It's great that you are taking the steps now to prepare for a healthy pregnancy.  Awesome!

How are you faring with your husband being away? Do you two get a chance to talk often? One of my dearest and oldest friends served in Iraq and it was a damn long 18 months. I actually celebrated the story of writing to him, it was one of those times when I was so glad it was over, and yet I looked back and realized how it had strengthened an already iron-clad friendship. I hope you two are having great chats about what exciting things lay in your future.

Hey, sorry. I haven't had a chance to get on here!

Thank you Nichole :)

Shea, it has been rough! lol. To say the least. I am from MA, so I have family in MA. I came over here in September when he left so I wouldn't be alone in California. He is coming home a month earlier than I thought :) Which is exciting! I move back to CA Feb 25. I am ready! I get to talk to him on email a lot. Sometimes it will be days with out talking but. I stay busy working and TRYING not to worry about him. haha. He goes "Babe, I think you are going to be pregnant not long after I get home..." haha Yes, it has brought us a lot closer. It made us both realize what we have together. I am grateful for the experience . . . (I don't want to do it again though lol)

I have not een on here for a while. My husband is home!! And healthy and mm... I am more in love than when we got married. So, We are trying. He is so ready to be a father, and I a mother. I want it to happen before he has to deploy again! grrr. I got a book, how to get pregnant naturally. I have to read more! I will do that tonight. But, efforts are being made! lol. Thank you for the support!

Oh my goodness! What an awesome surprise! That could not be more fantastic. I hope you're taking great time together to appreciate the little things about each other. I'm sure it's a little overwhelming, but in a good way, having to cram all the good into time frames between deployments. Just enjoy the process. The rest will take care of itself. Just take care of each other! Best wishes to you both, so glad he's home safe!!

Hi there, D! Just was thinking about your big plans, and checked in to see how your time together has been. Hopefully you're not feeling too much pressure and are just enjoying being home. When does he have to deploy again? Thinking of you and sending you good baby wishes! If not now then soon and eventually!
