I adore my dog. She's an elderly monster now, but she has been well loved. I can honestly say it's probably the best thing I ever did, to get her. If your wife is allergic, there are some breeds you can get that are hypoallergenic, something that amazes me but it's apparently true. I think labradoodles and Portuguese water dogs are, and there are a bunch of little breeds, too, if you'd rather not have a moose in your house. Good luck! Post pictures when you choose a pup.
