MY 300
Sports & Adventure: Fitness

Why do you want to do this?

In 2010 I commenced a program I refer to as My 300. I decided that there is opportunity to complete 300 units of exercise per day by way of; 100 Push Ups 200 Sit Ups In addition, I decided that a further 40 units of exercise could be counted by completing 20 minutes of aerobic exercise. My total score in 2010 was around 35,000 which means I completed on average 95.8 units of exercise per day.

What three things will you need to make this happen?

Planning

Determination and persistence

Focus

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Procrastination and laziness.

So, as of January 10 my score card looks like this;

2011 Day 10 x 300 = 3,000 units of exercise
2010 Score at Jan 10 = 1,100
2011 Day 10 Actual Score = 2580 which means I am averaging 258 units of exercise per day.
My goal is to have remained in touch with the 'unit opportunity' or 'UO' by 31 January. This will mean I must complete 9,000 units of exercise by 31 January.

I will need to lift my output across each day to come back to level with the 'UO' by this date.

Day 11 of MY300 has been disrupted I'm afraid, however I'm back into the process tonight.

To achieve my January goal of 9300 I need to perform some 352 units of exercise each day.

I had a huge day on Tuesday, achieving 410 Units of Exercise, giving me a total of 3030 out of 3900. Yesterday I easily achieved 330 and this morning before I went to work I managed to get to 210. Tonight I'll try to do the same amount again.

Should I do this, my score for the year will be 3,800 leaving me only 400 behind the UO of 4200. This is a great result so early in the program and has me tracking well to reach my January target of 9300.

By the way, should I achieve 9,300 I will have achieved almost 1/3 of my entire 2010  total. This is a great example of how a smaller achievable target can motivate you to achieve your goals.
