Pay off my credit cards
Career & Finance: Debt Management

Why do you want to do this?

I hate the feeling of having debt! I don't owe a massive amount - maybe £3000 and it is easily paid off, but I keep spending money on other things - holidays, Christmas - everything! I really want to knuckle down and get this paid off by March so I can go on holiday debt free in the summer.

What three things will you need to make this happen?

A permanent job - I am currently working as a supply teacher.

Commitment - Stop spending money on other things.

Budget - To work out a time scale and steps to repayment.

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

A permanent job

Hello TD, what a fantastic goal.  Congratulations for taking the first steps to getting those cards under control.  I went through this process myself.  It was very painful.  How are you finding it so far?  Have you been able to find a more permanent position?  I used a method called the 'Snowball Plan.'  Here's a link explaining how it works.  There are more tips in the story on my portfolio page too if you'd like to pop over and look.  Let me know if you find any of the information helpful and best of luck to you with your goal.

Hello again, I wasn't sure where I could send this link to you because it's not really pertaining to any of the goals you've posted, but I did notice on your Life List that you wanted to list 100 quotes to live by.  My friend, CJ Calvert is an author and motivational speaker.  He wrote a fantastic book called Living an Exceptional Life.  If you sign up on his website (top right corner), a single awesome quote from many differerent inspirational people will be delivered to your e-mail daily.  Hope this helps you reach that goal too.  Here's a link to his page.
