Always wanted to do it. You don't need to have a kid with your genetics. All kids are adorable and too many kids out there have no parents.

Be financially stable

Healthy

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Finance, the fact that I would most likely be single at the point I will apply for adoption. (I would be less likely candidate to receive a kid)
