Why do you want to do this?

I went to Paris twice in high school, but now that I'm a bit (OK! 20 years) older and wiser, I want to go back. I loved it then, but I'm sure I would appreciate it even more now.

What three things will you need to make this happen?

Find a travel companion- I don't want to do this alone, and I don't want to wait for a boyfriend/man to take me. Hopefully I can plan something with my friend Rebecca for May 2012.

Make a realistic budget- I'm willing to splurge on this vacation, but I still need to be financially responsible.

Scheduling! Need to coordinate my work schedule with child care, dog care, and other responsibilities.

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Money. If money were no object, I could plan a trip for next month. There is no such thing as a cheap Paris vacation, but I want to get maximum value/enjoyment for my money, so that's going to take a lot of research and planning.
