Why do you want to do this?

I think it would help my self confidence and regular exercise would help lessen the depression. I like to be able to wear "cute" clothes and shop anywhere in the mall - not being able to do so makes me feel bad about myself and takes away a lot of things I enjoy. I think this is a big part of taking care of myself - which I would like to do more often.

What three things will you need to make this happen?

Keep track of calories eaten: Keep food diary with not just what was eaten but why and how it made me feel. Control binges.

Swap health foods for unhealthy foods in diet.

Exercise for at least 30 minutes everyday. Yoga 5 days a week for an hour.

What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?

Self-control: getting control of emotional triggers to binges. Laziness with exercise.

Congratulations on setting this goal, I have one I've been working on for a while, too. Have you started yet? The 21-Day Challenge starts Jan. 10, and it's a great way to set habits that will give you some momentum. I'm looking forward to it so much! This week, I've started with upping my water intake and making a plan. Looks like you are a yoga fan, that will have benefits beyond just changing your body, too. If you're interested, I can send you the MyLifeList Yoga Journal, written by our own yogi-in-residence, Gabrielle. She has her own practice, Salty Dog Yoga.  Hello UrbanMaenad from St. Louis.  Congratulations on setting this goal.  Is this the one you'd like us to follow for your 21-Day Challenge?  If so, this is the perfect goal to get started with.  I'm working on a similar one myself.  Sounds like you have the foundations of a great plan laid out.  Looking forward to your posts.
