Career & Finance: Employment
Why do you want to do this?
I have a lot of flexibility and freedom at work, and because I'm the boss, there's no one watching over my shoulder. This is a good thing. But it can also be a bad thing if you're in the habit of using the internet for personal reasons and it gets out of hand. There are some days when this is the case with me. I want to start accomplishing more and feeling proud of what I've done when I leave the office each day.
What three things will you need to make this happen?
A better to-do list that will guide what I do each day.
Software that can either limit or time how long I'm surfing the web each day (and that can distinguish between work and personal reasons, if possible).
Positive reinforcement, whether from myself, my board of directors, or any of my colleagues.
What is the biggest barrier to your achieving this?
Lack of self-control and burning passion for personal interests.
